Minister for Gender Children and Social Protection Hon Agnes Naa Momo Larteh has launched of onboarding newly eligible households under the LEAP Program
Addressing the media the sector minister Hon Momo acknowledge the President John Dramani Mahama for pushing this initiative.
She said the LEAP program onboarding process is finally been started and it's about time beneficiaries get the support they need.
She stated Reassessing and updating the system after years is a big step towards efficiency and reaching those who truly need it.
Currently Four hundred thousand households are set to benefit, and it's a great to see the focus on vulnerable groups like the elderly, pregnant women, and persons with disabilities.
Hon minister added that the LEAP Lunch will provide more details on the strategy.
The minister further mentioned that, initiative aimed at improving the lives of the beneficiaries is set to begin shortly.
She stated that starting on Monday, the 27th of April, dedicated service providers will be visiting various communities in order to carry out an essential task.
These service providers will be responsible for taking biometric data of the beneficiaries for accurate record keeping and ensuring that those in need receive the appropriate services.
Following this important data collection, she noted that they will officially commence the onboarding process, which is a vital step in engaging the beneficiaries and integrating them into the support programs designed for their benefit.
