The Ghana Education Service has announced approval for the payment of salary arrears to eligible staff, following financial clearance from the Ministry of Finance.

The directive, dated April 20, 2026, indicates that the arrears covering the period from August 1, 2024, to November 2025, will be paid by the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department.

According to the statement issued by GES Headquarters in Accra, the arrears will be settled in phased instalments to ease the financial burden on the state.
