A downpour that hit parts of the Jaman South Municipality of the Bono Region on Thursday caused extensive destruction to properties and personal belongings running thousands of Ghana cedis at Drobo, the municipal capital.

Sompa FM learnt from residents that the rains, which accompanied heavy windstorm ripped roofing of many houses and damaged some buildings.
It had since rendered many residents homeless with others perching with relations and friends.

An affected resident, Victor Asiedu narrowly escaped death when his room collapsed, however sustained some injuries.

Speaking to Sompa FM in an interview, Kwadwo Yeboah an eyewitness explained that the rains started around 7pm.
