The Krontihene of Odomase, Osabarima Kwabena Yeboah , has advised the youth to use social media responsibly and not allow it to replace their cultural values and traditions.

He gave the advice when members of Presbyterian Church of Ghana – Emmanuel Congregation at Mmredane in Odomase – celebrated their Traditional Day at the church.

According to Nana, many young people are gradually abandoning their traditions and are instead making social media their new way of life. He noted that although social media can be useful, its impact depends on how individuals choose to use it.

He cautioned young people who use social media platforms to insult elders to desist from such behaviour, stressing that respect for elders remains an important part of Ghanaian culture and traditions.

As part of the celebration, members of the church prepared a variety of traditional Ghanaian dishes such as Ampesi, Apapransa, and other local meals to showcase and promote their cultural heritage.

Speaking at the event, the Minister in charge of Emmanuel Congregation and Director for Mission and Evangelism of the Bono Ahafo Presbytery, Rev. Daniel Kofi, emphasized that the resurrection of Jesus Christ represents hope for every Christian.

He therefore urged Christians to live Christ-like lives and reflect the teachings of Christ in their daily activities.
