The Headmaster of Ampenyi M/A Basic School in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) Municipality in the Central Region, Mr. Obed Caleb Eshun, has appealed for assistance, stating that despite being one of the best-performing schools in the municipality, they lack adequate teaching and learning infrastructure due them.
He recounts that the school's achievements are being hindered by its inadequate facilities, affecting students' learning environment and highlighted the need for support to unlock the school's full potential.
Mr. Obed disclosed that the school lacks a functioning computer literacy laboratory with a dilapidated roofing for the school's kindergarten block.
"My school's performance in the 2024 and 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) was hundred 100%, having produced the 'best student' in the Municipality, yet we still cry over basic infrastructure amenities," the headmaster lamented.
Mr. Obed Caleb Eshun appealed to the government and the general public for support, stating, "we lack a functioning computer laboratory, as roofing for the school's kindergarten block is in a bad state, so we seek the help of the government and other well-wishers to come to our aid."

The Ampenyi Headmaster was addressing a ceremony of parents, students and other invited guests for the commissioning of a sanitary unit constructed by teachers of the school as well as the sod cutting for the construction of an assembly grounds for the school, financed by a benevolent indigene of the Ampenyi community on Tuesday, 31st, March, 2026.

Nana Ama Amissah, Chairperson for the event, pledged her solemn support for any final year student who will strive to obtain aggregate 6 to 9 in the school's subsequent BECE examination with an amount of GH¢5,000.
Some final year students who couldn't hide their excitement, took to the occasion to express their profound gratitude to their teachers and promised to take their studies very serious to access good grades in their pending examination.
