Interior Ministry Warns Applicants Against Medical Screening SMS Scams

The  Interior Ministry has issued a public notice cautioning applicants about fraudulent SMS messages related to the ongoing recruitment medical screening process.

In the statement, the Ministry clarified that no text messages regarding medical screening have yet been sent to any applicant. 

Official SMS notifications are scheduled to be dispatched between March 29 and March 31, 2026.

According to the Ministry, the medical screening exercise will officially begin on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at designated centers across all regions.

Applicants have been strongly advised to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to scammers who may demand payment via text messages. 

The Ministry emphasized that all legitimate SMS communications will originate solely from the authorized sender ID, CSERP.

The notice further explained that only applicants whose status changes from “Qualified” to “Medical Screening” on the recruitment portal should proceed with the process. 

Candidates are encouraged to verify both their SMS notifications and portal status before making any payments.

Importantly, the Ministry stressed that no applicant is required to send money directly to any mobile money number. 

All payments must be made through the official secure web checkout system available on the recruitment portal.

This latest advisory comes amid increasing concerns over recruitment-related scams, as authorities continue to caution applicants to rely only on official communication channels.
