Prioritizing Empathy: Firefighters Urged to Let Love Lead in Discharge of their Duty

Personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) in the Central Region have been implored to let love lead in all their dealings.

DCFO (RTD) Fire Officer Alhaji Jibril Nuhu made the statement to emphasized the importance of love, compassion, and kindness in personal and professional interactions.

The heartfelt message aims to inspire volunteers and staffs of the service to prioritize empathy and understanding. The officer's sentiment resonated with attendees, highlighting the value of love and kindness in making a positive impact.

He made this assertion at the Central Regional Fire Headquarters in Cape Coast, as the service organized it's maiden edition to host Muslims in the service during their season of the Ramadan.

The program brought together people from the Muslim community, firefighters both Muslims and non- Muslims, and leadership of Muslims in the Region.

"We are all talking about love so, let's work to achieve peace. If there is love and unity, we can all serve Allah better," DCFO (RTD) Fire Officer Alhaji Jibril Nuhu said.

The Regional Fire Commander, ACFOI Merinda Mary Attigah Mensah, took the opportunity to encourage Muslim firefighters and to exalt moral values, professionalism in the service.

Chief Imam of the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA), Sheikh Yahaya Shafiq Abdul Rahman, highlighted the significance of Ramadan, a period where sacrifices are rewarded by Allah. Thus, encouraged Muslims to hold onto good sacrifices, both to Allah and humanity.
