Madamfo Foundation commissions mechanized borehole for Subinso residents

‎The Madamfo Ghana Foundation, an NGO has commissioned a mechanized borehole at Subinso Number Two in the Wenchi Municipality of the Bono region to provide potable drinking water to the locals.
‎
‎The facility will pump 4,250 litres of water per a day to support the domestic chores of the households which hitherto depended largely and shared the Subin River with stray animals.
‎
‎Speaking at a ceremony at Subinso Number Two, Mr Enoch Atipoe, the Deputy Country Director of the Madamfo Ghana Foundation said the NGO was always satisfied and joyful whenever the need for the people were addressed.
‎
‎He said he was highly optimistic that with the facility in place, water borne diseases in the area would be a thing of the past.‎
‎
‎Nana Akosua Benewaa II, the Gyaasehemaa of Subinso Number Two said the residents were highly excited for accessing clean water and thanked the foundation for the gesture.


‎
‎Madam Gloria Gyamfi, the Wenchi Municipal Chief Executive also expressed appreciation to the foundation for their continuous support towards improving water coverage in the area.
‎


‎She said plans were underway to expand the Wenchi Community Water System to tackle the acute perennial water crisis which had become an annual ritual in the municipality.
