SUSEC Board commends President Mahama for advancing infrastructure development

Professor Emmanuel Opuni-Frimpong, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sunyani Senior High School (SUSEC) has commended the government for advancing the progressive infrastructure development of the school.

He said presently the government was funding the construction of nine different physical infrastructure projects, saying that President John Dramani Mahama ought to be commended for the progress of work on those projects.

On completion, he said those projects including the construction of two-storey 12 units classroom block, two-storey science laboratory, two 12-unit toilet facilities, as well as two-storey dormitories for the boys and girls would well position the school to return to the single-track system.


Prof Opuni-Frimpong, also the Global President of the SUSEC Old Student Association (SOSA) gave the commendation in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on the sidelines of a fund-raising dinner organised by the ‘Brong-Ahafo’ (B/A) Regional chapter of SOSA in Sunyani.

Mr Justice Collins Adu Baffoe, the Organiser of the B/A Regional chapter of SOSA told the Sompa FM hat the chapter was dedicated to address some challenges facing the school.

He explained that the dinner sought to mobilize funds to procure modern table and chairs for the school’s newly constructed dining hall and appealed to the old students, home and abroad, to contribute their widow’s mite.
Mr Thomas Obour, the Assistant Head Master of SUSEC in-charge of Academics, said the school had 4,393 students going through the double-track system and expressed the hope that those projects would be completed for the school to return to the single-track system.
