The capture of a 70-year-old man, suspected to be a wizard thrown Berenyekwa, a suburb of Berekum in the Bono Region into a state of disbelief and chaos in the early hours of Thursday.
Residents woke up February 5, 2026 to discover the 70-year-old man seated in front of the steering wheel, locked up in a private salon car.
However, some young men in the area broke into the car, belonging to one Bismarck Malik, the Proprietor of the Paradise Preparatory School in the town.
Hitherto, Sompa FM gathered that Malik locked the car and traveled to Kumasi.
The incident attracted scores of people to the scene, who attempted to lynch the old man, however some of them managed to rescue and sent the old man Berekum police station for safety
