Jinijini Chief commends Berekum West MP for transparent, accountable leadership

Nana Baffour Tutu Asare II, the Chief of Jinijini in the Berekum West District of the   has commended the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area for his transparent and accountable leadership to the constituents.

He observed that: “The unprecedented act of transparency and accountability” of Mr Dickson Kyere-Duah, the MP for Berekum West Constituency to the constituents in his one-year administration was highly commendable, well appreciated and worthy of emulation.

“In fact, this is unprecedented in the history of our constituency. This is the first time an MP has openly come before the chiefs and the people to give a detailed account of his stewardship after just one year in office”, Nana Asare II stated.

The chief gave the commendation when speaking at a durbar of the chiefs and people of the area at Jinijini, the constituency capital the MP organised to render accounts for his one-year stewardship to the constituents.

Nana Asare II praised the MP for voluntarily subjecting himself to public scrutiny and engaging directly with the people on his stewardship, parliamentary activities, and constituency interventions.
The durbar brought together chiefs and queen mothers, elders, youth groups, women’s associations, party executives and religious leaders.

Nana Asare II said: “This is the first time a sitting MP of Berekum West has taken such a bold step to render account to chiefs, opinion leaders, and the general public within one year of assuming office”.
