Mrc, the Minister of Interior has inaugurated an ultra-modern office complex for the Bono Regional command of the National Signals Bureau in Sunyani, the regional capital.
The facility, a critical hub for signal intelligence will enhance security in the region by leveraging technology to provide real-time and actionable intelligence to support security operatives in the region.
Speaking at a short ceremony in Sunyani, Mr Mohammed-Mubarak said the facility would greatly help tackle crime wave like the growing armed robbery, and cyber-crime as well as help address chieftaincy disputes that threatened national security.
Mr Mohammed-Mubarak said Bono Regional command of the bureau was the third to be opened in the country, a demonstration of President John Dramani Mahama’s commitment to deliver a comprehensive and responsive security architecture to tackle the security concerns and needs of the nation.
