Ghana Police Interdict Five Officers Over Social Media Misconduct

The Ghana Police Service has interdicted five officers for acts of misconduct involving the unauthorized use of police uniforms on social media.

In a press release dated December 16, 2025, and issued by the Public Affairs Directorate at Police Headquarters in Accra, the Service said the action was taken following concerns about officers using official police attire for purposes not approved by the Service on social media platforms.

The interdicted officers are:

* G/Sgt. Samuel Agbemanyale (No. 45545)
* G/Cpl. Isaac Mpere (No. 50300)
* G/Cpl. Samuel Agbo (No. 51816)
* G/Cpl. Charles Oduro (No. 56563)
* PW/Const. Elizabeth Dicka Korkor (No. 14494)

According to the statement, the officers have been referred to the Police Professional Standards Bureau for further investigations and any necessary disciplinary action.

The Police Service reiterated its commitment to maintaining professionalism and discipline within the Service, particularly in the use of police uniforms and conduct on social media.

The statement was signed by Deputy Superintendent of Police Richmond Mensah on behalf of the Director-General of Public Affairs.
