Mr Abraham Kaabawi, the Headmaster for the Nwawasua Municipal Assembly Basic School in the Sunyani Municipality has appealed for desks for the school children.

Speaking in an interview with Sompa FM at Nwawasua, a farming community, he expressed worry that most of the school children sit on the bare floor to learn because of inadequate chairs.

Mr Kaawabi said the former Member of Parliament (MP) for Sunyani East, Mr Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh started the construction of a Kindergarten block, however, the project had been abandoned months now and appealed to the government to come to their aid.

He added that the school also required toilet facilities to improve its poor sanitary situation.
