Chiefs, people of Senase evoke wrath of local deity to uncover murder suspects

The Chiefs and people of Senase in the Berekum Municipality of the Bono Region have expressed concern about the growing incidents of murder in the area, asking the police to improve personnel visibility in the area.

Citing the recent murder of a tricycle rider in the area, the also consulted the local shrine and performed traditional rituals to evoke the anger of the deity against the perpetrators of the murder and other crimes in the area

Nana Tua, the Traditional Linguist to Nana Agyeiwaa Dufie III, the Queen of the Senase in the Berekum Traditional Area, who performed the rituals prayed the local deity to support and reveal for the subsequent arrest of the murder suspects within 40 days.

He slaughtered a white-coloured sheep, presented two bottles of local schnapps and poured libation as a sacrifice to the gods.

Nana Tuah noted that the murder incidents in the area had brought fear and panic among the people, and called on the police to intensify night patrols, as the people waited for the response from the local deity.
