Abraham Afful, CEO of D.J. Group of Companies and a small scale miner at Wassa Nsueam in the Amenfi East Municipality in the Western Region has tasked fellow miners in the country to eschew illegal mining but adhere to safe mining by following all mining protocols laid out by the state.

His advise follows his exemplary mining protocol which is devoid of mining illegalities and has thus have all the lands (concession) he has worked on over the years reclaimed.

The miner aside the fact that he has reclaimed the concessions he has previously worked on, has equally used these lands for plantation.

Planting as many as 250 acres of coconut, plantain, palm nut, and cocoa, thereby, employing permanent staffs of about 150 workers and over 100 casual workers.

Bernard Manu Armah, Manager and PRO for the Company speaking in an interview with Sompa News Eric Annan, appealed on fellow miners to emulate his company's mining style which involves no chemical nor the destruction of land and should also avoid leaving open pits but reclaim them after mining.

Head in charge of the company's farms, Abusuapanyin Kweku Addo, established that the company boost of variety of farms including plantain, palm nut, cocoa, and cocoanut plantations with 20 workers helping him out with it.

He further pleaded on government to seek and appreciate the yeoman's work being carried out by D.J. Group of Companies. Sounding a clarion call for assistance with farming aids like fertilizers, weedicides, pesticides, among others to grow the mining company's farms.
