Francisca Mensah, a student from Presbyterian Junior High School in the Ashanti Region, has made a remarkable recovery after giving birth during the BECE exams and has returned to complete her exams.

She delivered a baby boy on June 11, 2025, during the ICT paper at the Asenua Presbyterian Junior High School Examination Centre.

According to Desmond Adjei, a teacher at the center, Francisca was quickly moved to the headmaster's office, where she successfully delivered her baby with assistance from school staff.

 Francisca gave birth during the ICT paper, but according to WAEC, she will have to retake the ICT exam.

She has returned to the exam center and sat for the English Language and Career Technology papers, showcasing her determination to succeed.

After delivering her baby, Francisca and her child were transported to Victory Hospital for medical attention, courtesy of the pastor of the Asenua Presbyterian Church.

 Francisca's courage and perseverance have been widely praised, serving as an inspiration to her peers and others.
