In a significant development, the manholes at Bremang Junction and Kronom to Afracho, which had been a major concern for residents and commuters alike, have finally been fixed.

After Sompa FM Bawah Baidoo  reported the news last week, the Suame Municipal and Afigya Kwabre South District authorities joined forces to fix all the manholes on the road.

The District Chief Executive for Afigya Kwabre South, Hon. Patricia Pearl Ankrah, visited the ongoing fixing works this morning and interacted with Sompa  News.

The swift action taken to address this problem is a testament to the power of public awareness and the importance of community reporting.

Hon. Patricia Pearl Ankrah revealed that the fixing works would be completed by Friday, enabling the free movement of vehicles.

She also addressed concerns from drivers who had been loading short distances and charging huge fares due to the poor road conditions.

The DCE urged drivers to desist from this practice and reduce transport fares as instructed.
