More than 900 residents of Timiabu, Madina and Konkrompe, rural communities nestled in the Nkoranza North District of the Bono East Region, have gained access to potable and clean water after years of relying on nearby streams for their water needs.
The communities, equipped with a capacity water system, courtesy of Nkoranza North District Chief Executive (DCE), Effah Patrick , was a result of his efforts to enhance the quality of life for the rural dwellers.
Effah Patrick, who promised to assist the district with developmental projects, fulfilled his promise by furnishing the three communities with potable water shortly after his confirmation and assumption of office in the Nkoranza North as DCE.
On Wednesday, April 23, and Thursday, April 24, 2025, the construction of the water system began, making the beginning of a new era of access to clean water for the communities.
In an interview with Sompa Fm and Tv , Hon. Patrick outlined the significance of water, saying "water is life" and emphasizing its importance for families and children.
He highlighted the relief the water system will bring and its potential to avert a water crisis in the areas.
The community members expressed appreciation for the DCE's support, acknowledging the project's impact on their socio-economic well-being.
They appealed for continued support to ensure the project's completion.
The people of Timiabu, Madina, and Konkrompe expressed gratefulness for the DCE's unwavering support in enhancing their quality of life through improved access to clean water.
