A Ghanaian, resident in South Africa, Elvis Tenkorang says that country’s economy has slowed down sharply, amid on-going Xenophobic attacks.

He said that the South Africa’s economy was fast dwindling partly due to the return of foreign nationals from that country, saying that many shops had been closed since the foreign nationals returned to their countries.

Speaking to Ama Konadu on the Sunyani-based Sompa FM’s “Adeakye Abia” morning show from South Africa, Mr Tenkorang said added that presently economic activities in South Africa had dropped with the South Africans bearing the brunt.

Mr Tenkorang added that some Ghanaians who were yet to be evacuated back home were doing well and commended the Ghana's Ambassador to South Africa.
