Award-winning music duo Keche have opened up about the secret to keeping their bond strong and their brand relevant in the music industry.
Speaking with Obomengniibaa Nana Akua on Penpensiwa at AsaasePa 107.3, the duo revealed that understanding and mutual respect have been the foundation of their longevity. “We know we are two people from different backgrounds, so our ideas will not always be the same. But we respect each other and make it work,” they said.
They admitted that conflicts are inevitable, but their focus on the bigger picture always brings them back together. “We disagree on a lot of things, but because we have one particular goal, we resolve every issue. We swallow our pride and work as a team, even when we are not talking,” they explained.
Reflecting on their most difficult period, Keche recounted their longest fight, which lasted for a month. Despite the tension, they stayed committed to their fans and their craft. “There are times we perform at shows while not speaking to each other. But in the eyes of our fans, they don’t care about what we are dealing with they just want us to deliver,” they shared.
Keche have also released a new single titled Pana. According to the duo, the inspiration behind the song is that no one knows what tomorrow will bring, so it is important to enjoy life with the little that you have. They explained that whoever you find yourself with, whether a friend or a loved one, you should value that moment and make the best out of it.
