‎Construction work on the dualization of the Sunyani–Abesim Road has begun, with a call on contractors to speed up the project execution.

‎The Sunyani Municipal Assembly together with Mr Seid Mubarak, the Sunyani East Member of Parliament are spearheading the execution of the project to ease growing vehicular traffic on the highway.

‎During a visit, some affected traders who used to selling on the shoulders of the highway made the call in an interview with Sompa FM, welcoming the execution of the project, saying that would open up the area and improve transportation.

‎However, they added that they needed more time from the assembly to relocate their temporary structures, hoping that the work would be completed on time for them to return.
